Hovid Marketing Sdn. Bhd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hovid Bhd. It markets health and wellness products through the network marketing business channel.
The Hovid Group's pharmaceutical division manufactures and markets more than 300 different types of ethical drugs , health and dietary supplements. Hovid's product categories are divided into pharmaceutical ethical, dietary supplements, injections and consumer products.
The Hovid Group's range of principal products and activities include:
- special drug delivery systems, such as modified release formulations and bio-availability enhanced formulations;
- ethical products, including anti-biotics, anti-diabetics, anti-hypertensives, anti-malarial and anti-inflammatory analgesics;
- dietary supplements;
- consumer products; and
- the commercial extraction of palm tocotrienol complex, mixed carotenoid complex and phytosterols from palm fruits .
Hovid's manufacturing facilities and practices in respect of its pharmaceutical products conform to the PIC/S' GMP and Good Laboratory Practice Standards.
Hovid's strength lies in its export market which extends to over 30 countries around the world.Hovid also prides itself of being the first to introduce Malaysian generic drugs overseas, specifically Philippines and Cambodia. It has successfully registered 500 products in 26 different countries worldwide.
Hovid's subsidiary, Carotech produces and markets full-spectrum tocotrienol complex, mixed carotene complex and phytosterol products. Carotech exports to 27 countries worldwide. Its wholly owned subsidiary Carotech Inc based in New Jersey, USA, is responsible for the marketing and distribution of Carotech's products in U.S.A. The U.S. represents the largest market for Carotech's products, accounting for 52% of Carotech's total exports.
Our Heritage
Dr. Ho Kai Cheong, the founder of Ho Yan Hor® herbal Tea, concocted 24 different natural herbs and tea leaves to introduce a refreshing and " cooling " herbal tea. What started off as a humble tea stall back then eventually evolved into a herbal tea factory for one of the well-known herbal tea brands in Malaysia - Ho Yan Hor ®
Back in 1940, an enterprising man who had then just returned after graduating from the Canton Wah Lam National Physicians School In China, envisioned the idea of introducing the health- enhancing herbal tea drinking among the Chinese in Malaya.
In the 1980's, along with his father's success, Mr. David Ho, a trained pharmacist, brought Ho Yan Hor to a whole-new level of industrial excellence by transforming it into a pharmaceutical organization. Armed with expertise in pharmacy and natural gift of entrepreneurship, Mr. David Ho as its Managing Director, spearheaded the company's phenomenal transformation by venturing into mainstream medical approaches.
From that point on, Hovid, (as it is known now) grew to become one of Malaysia's leading pharmaceutical manufacturers of high quality and innovative medicinal preparations and health supplements.
Today, the name "Hovid" spells trust, innovation and quality not only among the medical and healthcare community in Malaysia but also in more than 30 countries world-wide.

Our Research & Development Strength
One of Hovid's main strength lies in its research and development capability. This is evidenced by its two (2) R&D divisions, housed at two different locations. The one situated in Science University of Malaysia (Universiti Sains Malaysia) directs efforts towards pre-formulation studies, drug characterizations, special drug delivery system and efficacy studies. The other R& D division, located in its manufacturing plant in Ipoh, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia, mainly works at improving production processes, improving formulations of existing products and development of new products.
Hovid Bhd is the first company in the pharmaceutical industry in Malaysia to be granted this accreditation under the Laboratory Accreditation Scheme of Malaysia in 1995.
This accreditation certifies that Hovid Bhd laboratory meets the general requirements of MS ISO/IEC 17025 where the laboratory demonstrates high competence of testing and the well-established quality management system that has been practiced to ensure products manufactured at Hovid Bhd are at high quality and safe.
In other words, Hovid Pure products are of superior quality and high standards; produced with the consumers' utmost health.
